Artist Statement
My art is a testament to resilience, transformation, and the beauty of human experience. Working primarily in oil and mixed media, I explore themes of identity, self-discovery, and connection, drawing deeply from the brilliance of Black culture and the emotive techniques of impressionism.
Through layered textures and gold undertones, I symbolize inner strength and radiance. A carefully chosen palette evokes emotions that resonate universally, while each brushstroke reflects my personal journey—capturing struggles, triumphs, and quiet moments of introspection. My creative process is both meditative and intentional, blending intuition with technique to bring each narrative to life.
I strive to create art that invites viewers to see themselves in my work, encouraging them to connect, reflect, and celebrate their own stories. Through exhibitions, social media, and collaborations, I aim to foster dialogue and inspire others to embrace their potential.
Ultimately, my art is not just about my personal story; it is an invitation for others to explore their own paths and celebrate the transformative power of creativity.
